Ah, the days of a world's longest topic.

Started in FOG Chat, this phenomenon was soon to be found in every other forum. But it was the original that was used to chat about many things and often as a way of saying goodnight to other forum users.

The numbers grew too, but soon it wasn't about how many posts there had been, it was a fondly thought of mini-chat room all of its own, with plenty of strange topics...

Probably not, but I try anyway.

It rocked on ... back in the day.
Well, the interesting episodes, when they were fighting / evolving - they were good. Just the endless, same-story tedious ones in the middle which weren't so good.

Ah well.

Is the Pokemon theme tune actually playable on the guitar ? No doubt some obsessives will have tabbed it but it wouldn't have that whiny American voice quality about it

I miss the days of Pokemon. My Blastoise beats your Charizard. What a great way to make kids dish out loads of money for a game that had no enjoyment values, was about the cuteness of the creatures and showing off with the latest 'shiny'

I knew someone was going to pull me up on some fact, but, hey, if I worried about what you lot thought, I wouldn't have started this topic in the first place

Pokemon analogy will be overlooked. I haven't seen KR post in about a year, but if he's become a Sony recluse and just hangs around in there I probably wouldn't have seen his posts

Soon my Michelin I-spy book will be complete.

There's a few rare posters in there, if you're trying to catch 'em all.

I used to use it but then it went through a period of either no posts or spamming, which put me off

I may have a little 'look-see' back at the PS2 Longest thread, just to check its quality nowadays

The PS2 one is still a nice friendly place, if a little slow these days - still, nice to pop your head in and say hi to everyone.

I thought this was still going relatively strongly, the last time a checked (admittedly a few weeks back) Biggles was chatting to someone about some game or other

FOG isn't very popular anymore ... everyone migrated to Gen Chat
