Perfect timing. Halo 2 and Pro Evo 4 are due out and my Xbox has decided to die out on me.

It's still working at the moment, but the fan has gone really loud, the disc tray wont always open (gets jammed on nothing as if the sliding mechanism is loose) and as I've already previously stated, the DVD playback has gone all dodgy.

I really am going to have to consider getting a replacement and transferring all the game saves I can to the other.

I hope it does last me throughout Halo 2 and Pro Evo 4...I don't want to fork out on a replacement til atleast after Christmas!

I think the best solution would be 50MG ADRENALIN, STAT!

The disc tray problem tends to happen when I press eject before the front power button.

Normally the Xbox would power up and the disc tray open.

When it does fail to open, I've found turning it off by the power button then back on before pressing eject normally works.

For a while now my Xbox's disc tray won't always open. I press the button and it tries to open but it eventually gives up. A way to get it open, I've found, is to give the tray a poke! It certainly seems to do the job.

Now that DOES sound like a memory problem. Do these games have the ability to save to memory card?

If so, it might be worth trying it to see what happens

Just wondering, and seeing as I can't be bothered creating a new thread, is there a problem with my Xbox. On a couple of games when I try to save it just freezes whilst attempting to save. Thanks for any help.
