If you haven't already seen it, watch it. An utterly brilliant distilation of Hubert Selbys novel of drug addiction in it's many guises.
All children should be shown this movie, it's the biggest anti drugs advertisement i've even seen.

It's not enjoyable in any way shape or form. One of those movies you have to atch though. A lot of people think Aronofskys direction is distracting. It's not. It sums up being off your head perfectly.

I stumbled out and stood in the car park smoking for 10mins before I drove home.
Made me feel dirty and unhappy.
