"Garden State (again)"

Just watched it on DVD and forgot how wonderful it really is. It's basically a story about finding yourself and coming to terms with that, and it's just so sublimely performed and put together, I urge everyone to buy it and watch it. Zach Braff is fantastic, miles away from JD, and he directs as well - it's a bang up job for a first effort. Natalie Portman is incredible, a twitchy bundle of energy and a compulsive liar, but utterly adorable and believable.

Any film that makes the line "I've only known you for four days and you've changed my life" and not make it sound cheesy is a winner in my book.

Garden State. Go buy it.

Ah, but I watched several Wings Hauser films immediately afterwards to counter-balance the femininity of it all.

Watched this earlier. Really enjoyed it. Some great comic moments, and I kinda recognised the whole people that haven't moved on thing. Natalie Portman is great. The pet funeral scene was freaky. Some of the dialogue was just spot on.

It's given me much respect for Zach Braff.

Me and a mate at work signed up for their WH Smith service (seeing as we worked there anyway) free trial and found they sent us the stuff from the bottom each time.

I was only in it for the free £5 voucher and got The Incredibles for £10 on release day, so I can't complain.

Good to hear it's not just me getting the dodgy service.

For the first month their service was excellent, I was always sent the DVD's from the top of my list and never did I return DVD's only to find I had to wait a couple of days for them to send me another.

Over the last 2 weeks though I've been sending discs back and even though they've registered that they've been returned they don't send me new films. I've got over 60 films on my list so I don't believe for a second they haven't got any of them in stock, they also tend to send me my least wanted discs half the time.

Stupid Lovefilm!

Yeah, it seems to be waning at the moment. Discs are taking longer to arrive and I've usually watched and returned them before I even get the email to tell me they've been sent.

Still, what can you expect when you set up a business in Harlow?

I'll hopefully be watching it once LoveFilm pull their fingers out and sort out their service.
