I mean... just get something to be made at the cursor location, repeat it as long as the button is held down, sounds simple enough. Adding different colours, sizes and undo etc is the next step, but if I can draw lines on a page then that'd be awesome.
Good sites for actionscript beginners? I bought a book for the hell of it (game design demystified, an actual OFFICIAL Macromedia book.. did they even read it? Christ it's bad) but that's pretty much zero help.
So yeah, I'll google anyway, but anyone (monkey_man?) know of good sites for learning?

Most of it is done in the root, just look out for what instances are called what, and how they are targetted by the AS. Enjoy!

Because the drawing is a single object called 'line', it changes the whole colour.. trying to work out how to leave it as seperate objects.
And really need to stop you from being able to draw on the buttons too. Whoops..
Changing thickness is MUCH harder, I can't work that out yet.
