I think you need just a tad more modesty, mate.

I voted for me because I liked my story. 3rd place would be nice, but it's probably not worthy, though I still like it. I like it lots. My friends like it, my family like it and my school liked it so much they're giving me a bleedin' huge trophy for it.

Of course it deserved my vote.
