Asher tried to do this a while ago and it clearly rocked ass, i thought it was a good idea so i'm going to try and revive it.
I want a group of people who can recommend one track a day which hopefully people will listen to and pass judgement on. The idea is just to introduce people to new music.
I'm planning on starting Monday with one track for each day of the week and i'll revolve the days around the people involved.

Rufus Wainwright - I Don't Know What It Is
I love Rufus Wainwright, and this is a really nice song of his. Grows on you with each listen and was great when I saw him live earlier this year.

I was going to choose "The One You Love" as it's darker and i thought it might be more suited to this forum. I dont suppose he's coming over again anytime soon, i saw him on Jools Holland last week.
Have you got my MSN Asher, want to talk about something.

I like. A lot. Am I right in thinking MJ also recommended another great song last month?! This'll be staying on the drive for a while and will blend in nicely with the rest on the playlist.

Friday 24th - Rufus Wainright - I Dont Know What It Is - (Flock)
Another nice one. Not something which could be listened to a lot, though. I know for sure my grandad would like this.. :D Seriously. It's that sound. Sort of panto feeling to it.

Those download links are handy. Shame I didn't download the rest while they were up.. :p

It's based in early 20 century Vaudeville, sort of incorporates showtunes, circus music, acoustic, folk. From what i've heard of the album it's got an old knightly feel to it, 2nd one seems more up to date and dark.

He toured Spring and Autumn here last year, so there's always a chance he'll do some shows in November again this year.

The Arcade Fire - Rebellion
Starts off nice. Quite like it, although it not really something I've notice if I heard it on the radio, and does start to get crappy near the end.

Raekwon - Ice Cream
Yeah, like it, scratchy record effect is nice too.

Rufus Wainright - I Dont Know What It Is
Vocals kinda sound like Thom Yorke. Seems alright so far. The melody is really quite forgettable, nothing too great, and it seems to drag on for a while. Don't really like it to be honest.

All in all, the best song of this month was mine. Pretty much. :P Other than that, Motiveless Crime by South was my favourite.
