Er... how does it work? I want to get some useless stuff off ebay, I have a debit card, I signed up with paypal, it hasn't asked me for any card details...

What's the crack? If I win something and get their details and try to transfer some money will it ask then? Does it even work with a debit card?

Indeed. 87 quid today I believe. I've justified it to myself by saying at least one of them can be a birthday present for my mate from work... but I know I'm lying to myself.

it does, temporarily, but you run out of money and lessen your urge to do it.

I've already won one thing, paid by paypal (which, as I said, worked as I guessed it would, which was nice) and I'm winning on two others. I'm a sad, sad man... ebay will take over my life, I know it!

I'm only selling a crap phone. I wouldn't buy my stuff.

If you want I'll list something for you to have a practise buy, though.

I signed up my second credit card up to my paypal and did the verification thing, it took probably two weeks to appear.

Set your online banking thing up and you'll be able to see if they've turned up rather than waiting for your next bank statement. You only need to overify if you want to spend over £500 anyway, you can still use it without verifying it.

I signed up to Paypal about a month ago - and I did that verification process where they deposit two small amounts into your account and then you have to enter some sort of code. A month on and I have not had the two small amounts appear on my statement - how long did it take for everyone else?

I've been using paypal for ages though, come on msn and I'll help you between looking at fun fun history notes.
