Apparently Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator, Joss Whedon, is preparing to resurrect my long time superhero Wonder Woman!! Yay! He's been signed to write and direct the live-action film, yet still has yet to choose the candidates for the main character's role, originally played by Linda Carter..

Hmm..My first choice would be Catherine Zeta-Jones, but it would be interesting to see some big booty gals like Beyonce or Jennifer Lopez play the part, yah?

Yup, read all about that in the backs of Sin City.

Yeah, Moore was the first to bring good writing and well, I wouldn't say "adult", but certainly more advanced storylines to comics. Not an easy feat considering they were still castrated by the Comics Code Authority. #20 to #64 are still well worth reading. DC were going to drop the character before Moore rejuvinated it. Damn, I'm a comics geek too...... :(

Blaxploitation Wonder Woman? That would probably be quite cool

But then all blaxploitation is great. How about Russ Meyer's Wonder Woman instead? Except he kinda died a bit, oh dear.

But Wonder Woman.. what did she do? Jumped around, span a bit and lasso'd people. She did have a great costume though..

..I was going to say something else but I've forgotten.

Oh yeah, Angelina Jolie is probably the best bet I can think of.. as for kinda empowered beautys and all, you really don't want some teenage innocent little assface trying to be a strong woman, it'd be sickening.

Whatever happens, I bet it'll be better than Cat-Woman. Which could have been awesome.

Now I didn't know that. Alan Moores take on the Swamp Thing was excellent, and remains one of the milestones where comics entered "grown up" territory. I imaging the cartoon was pretty poor, as was the movie, with Dick "really should have been a porn star with this name" Durock .

Angelina Jolie would be great, because she's like a goddess, but I don't know about that tatoo of Billy Bob there on her upper arm. Did she end up burning that thing off or what? That would be something to see the new WW with a tatoo like a sailor, eh? :)~

I loved that part of Austin Powers (part deux was it?) with the fro sportin' Beyonce, where she goes SSHAAZAAAAAAMM!! and smacks that dude silly. :D That was just hilarious. It would be great if the new WW was a comedy. If so, I'd definitely want an ethnic WW. Yii!

Excellent scene, excellent scene.

But then there was teen angst all over the shop. I wept bitter tears.
