Isn't that the same as Geek?
Star Trek was never a very interesting series, I just found it boring and so never watched it. It has become something synonomous with geeks, probably because there are so many 'die-hard' fans. Many of the things in Star Wars were actually geek-i-er. (Is that a word ?)
I suppose a nerd would say "Want to take yourself round to the place at which I live, known as a house, and play a round or two of D&D, followed by a Star Wars marathon and triple helpings of Star Trek. By Jove it'll be fun."
Ignorant fools who make silly topics like this.

Ahahaha, that's my autobiography right there.

Someone who watches either doesn't have to be a nerd. In fact, I wouldn't mind betting some right chavs have seen Star Wars a couple of times.
You're only a nerd when you change your name to Han Solo and can boast that you own every original piece of Star Wars merchandise in its original wrapping.
Same goes for Star Trek.
Mabye.
I wrote a whole RPG game from scratch when I was bored aged 12.
Beats being thick and going out vandalising cars but I am an Uber Geek. :)
Best RPG ever too. Might get around to publishing it someday.
