I keep getting black bits at the side of my screen as if i've shrunk the screen with the little buttons on the monitor.

I've tried widening the screen but it's still there.

Does this make sense?

I was playing about with my settings so I might have done something without knowing?

Does anyone know how to correct it? I promise I'll leave my settings alone from now on.

Have you been re-arranging speakers in the room where the monitor is?

Sorry to pop this, but i'm sure you'd rather that than another topic.

The other day my monitor did this whoo-hoo thing, kinda like if you get a text when your phone is near it.

Then it got the black sides again.

Now it's beter. I'm scared it's going to blow up..it's not is it?

I had a 19" CRT that used to go blank and make clicking noises fairly frequently after it heated up, I wanted to get rid of it (and was quite angry having paid £72 for it on ebay and the guy I bought it off was no longer registered) - so I switched it off, let it cool down then drove it down to a second hand part exchange shop.

The guy tested it and it worked perfectly (because it had cooled down) I collected my cash and calmly but swiftly walked out of the door...

heh heh

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
