Dire in every possible way. Should have switched it off and eaten the DVD when it began with an advert for Jerry "Louder is better" Bruckheimer movies. Not even Ray Winstone can save it. Oh dear one of his knights just died, but only after killing about a million people with his shoe.

Absolutely. He ruins everything he's in with his stupid girlish face and annoying voice. He's not even really a good actor. Look at him in Pirates Of The Caribbean, a pi** poor performance.

My girlfriend fell asleep, and I turned it off. Lots of noise and quick-edit camera shots does not a film make.
Coincidentally I saw this the night before last. Never saw the original cut (probably a good thing, judging by the director's cut) but it's pretty dire.
There are so many things wrong with the movie even a monkey could have made it better. What really got me though was a) it's blatent ripping off of the hugely superior Lord of the Rings and b) Kiera Knightley's "wode" costume which makes her look even more flat-chested than she already is.
A waste of what could have been an interesting licence.
Oh, and for all you Jerry Bruckheimer fans, look out for Pirates of the Carribean's two sequels coming soon. ¬_¬
