Missing the first hour wouldn't have actually. Just as long as you know why he's got his face and that he has flash-backy things.

I missed too much of both of them to understand it completely but i thought the original seemed better.
Didn't see it. Open Your Eyes was quite good, though.
I thought Penelope was beleivable. Nothing more, nothing less.
The problem is that Crowe gets too abosrbed in his Lookitme, I'm quirky-Wes Anderson type style, with clips of Peck in the background and oh-so-many cool popculture references. It just distracts from the film.
Saying that, the first half rules. Jason Lee is brilliant, as always, and even Cruise does well. I don't like Penelope Cruz though, she just seems talentless to me.

It was all great but I didn't like the ending too much. Seemed a bit farfetched.
