For a movie that recieves such high praise in most video shops and reviews, it was shockingly bad. So Al Pacino wants to be a gangster, and it's a pretty cool character, but the story hardly needs the generous 140 minutes it takes. I didn't even get to the "amazing" end scenes, but frankly, I was so bored by that point I just didn't care...
Did it just strike me as being a pretty crap film or do you agree?

Also, for anyone who wants a good thriller with fantastic acting, you have to check out Leon... Jeon Réno is fantastic, seriously. Portman plays about as flat a character as possible, but, to be honest, even the annoying 13 year old girl can't ruin it.
I blame those damn Belgium keyboards.
Just look at them... Look! http://dinki.mine.nu/ws84tigers/keyboard.JPG (It's the top one.)
Ain't it creepy?

Just take a bow.
Going to watch this and special features tonight.

Probably a wise decision to turn it down if you ask me - not one of my funniest days that. Don't actually seem to have many at all these days!
"Flat? What did you expect ... she was 13 etc etc."
Leon was a fantastic movie though, in my opinion. Back on topic, haven't seen Scarface, but after seeing the Godfather a few years back I was keen to see some more Pacino.

Was already nearly finished through it the second time.
Didn't really have any relevance to the original post though, so no point mentioning it.

I didn't expect LotR CGI. Why would I? And don't most movies have a reason for pretty much everything? (Albiet all too often brand advertising.)
And wtf is Spy Kids?

What the hell? Why does disliking Scarface have any relevance to my inteligence? Ugh. How can you slate someone for having a different taste / opinion to you?
Stick with "Dude, where's my car" and "Jurassic Park 98"
Best Pacino movie apart from "Glengarry Glen Ross" or "Serpico"

One of the few earlier Pacino movies I haven't seen. Anyone seen Panic in Needle Park? They're selling copies of it on DVD at a local book store for £1.49
Gotta be a bargain?
Oh, and by the way, if you've seen Scarface but thought it was a tad long or boring, try Carlito's Way (which is nowhere near as good, but is much shorter and has more in the way of a fast-paced plot).
