First you give us a great console that is the Dreamcast, you then stop making it but promice to keep suporting it with software.
Then you go ahead and cancel on of the biggest games on your release list, Black and White. One great game which we were promiced to has now gone, never to be seen on our little box of Dreams:(
Us DC owners have had a rough time over the last few months because of Segas descisson making, am im not happy. I have great fears of even more big games on the horizon being dropped. Such as-Commandos 2
Shenmue 2
Headhunter
Crazy Taxi 2
Sonic Adventure 2
And mabye even Half Life which was SUPPOSED to have been released In November of last year.(!)
It seams like my worst fears are coming true, the Dreamcast is now turning into a Nightmare. Just look at theses games that have allready been canned in the last month-
Soul Reaver 2 (!)
Picassio
Fortris
Dronez
Roswell conspiracies
Armada 2
Dark Angel; vampire apocalpse
Bad news im sure you will all agree, for us gamers and the industry. Im just hoping that Sega get the cash from somewhere to put the effort into releasing all the games it has planned for the Dreamcasts future, and also to keep those all importaint servers up and running for its online games.
We all knew that games were going to be canned sooner or later for the DC but I, and im sure most of you didn't think it would be so soon. Perhaps by the time the x-box and GameCube are released, the DC will be a distant memory in the past. We were told the Dreamcast would be in the shops for around another year, but I fear it might not last that long and we could be seeing a premature death.
I myself wish Sega all the best over the next few years and I really hope they find their feet again. From now on I hope the decissons they make are the best for everyone, including us, the gamers.
Join me in saying...
Good Luck Sega!
As much as they want to stand by the Dreamcast for a while longer, surely their priority at the moment has to be to get top games out for the Playstation 2. This console has a future, and they need PS2 owners to be buying Sega games.
Their next step is to ensure that they release quality games for X-box and Gamecube when they are released, and they look to be doing this too.
The one thing I think that Sega are doing really well is dishing out thier franchises between consoles, rather than promising all games for all consoles. For instance the next Jet Set Radio game will be on the X-box, but PSOv2 will be on the Gamecube.
At least that way they'll keep it interesting, and can be considered a major 3rd party player, unlike EA, who pimp their games ou onto every platform available, and don't seem to get much respect from gamers.
> What are you prodding people with?
It's just for fun. Don't get so hung up about it. Or I'll prod you :-D
> Answer my Question turbonutter. Whats with the prodding lark?
Sorry, didn't see your question.
It's just fun, a way of showing your disapproval. I like to write mini-stories about prodding if I feel it deserves an almighty prod.
