Well, Daytona USA 2001 finally arrived today, I don't really know why I got it, but I've just heard the most delightful thing 'roooorrrriiiing staaaaaaaart!' B(sniff sniff) Beautiful, brings a tear to me eye!

What imaginative vocab I'm using, must get an award!

It is very shiny and happy indeed - the colours are vibrant and I had great fun last night customising! The handling was a bit tricky to start with, but you'll get used to it. So pb, what's yer best time on 3 sevens? I think I got 18.375s with a customised in colour only, Hornet.

Oh yes!

The good thing about the Dreamcast version is that it uses tracks from both arcade versions and from the Saturn version as well. These can then be mirrored and reversed, giving loads more tracks in theory.

The handling is the only thing I'm not entirely happy about, I've fiddled around with it, but it's still a bit loose for my liking. The game itself is so polished and fantastic though that after a while you won't notice and start getting used to it.

Pad at the moment, but I have a wheel, in the box, somewhere.

i dunno, iliked the idea of gettin a random colour car. Anyway, are u using a pad or a wheel?

I do believe it's even better - the graphics are sweet, there's no back pains from large chunky vibrating plastic, and you can change the colour of your car!
