I have noticed that you and your terrorist buddies have not done much lately, and to be honest i am starting to think that you’re just bloody lazy.

All these threats and plans are talked about but all the huge events that would have made a big impact have passed by without incident.

The world cup: There where many times that a huge amount of people and 9/11 was fresh in peoples minds. Plus it would reduce the amount of football on TV for a while.

The Olympics: The opening ceremony had loads of people in there and would have ruined the whole thing and what a great way to effect a lot of countries at once without having to buy plane tickets to all over the world.

Now i understand you might have been waiting till things cool down a bit but there is one event very soon that would make a very good target.

The popes funeral there are going to be 200 heads of state, you know the nasty men that invade countries for oil? They will be there too plus just a lot of people that if they died would turn everything in to chaos.

to sum up Durkadurka-alla-jihad.

-----------------------------------

I can't believe that they are going to put all these world leaders in one place, it seems so stupid with the so-called terrorist threat they are begging to get blown to hell.

I bet it goes ok, but i think if terrorists do want to attack something they are never going to get something this good for a while.

In fairness, while killing lots of people at a funeral would be pretty twisted, we're talking about people who toppled two skyscrapers with thousands of people inside. I wouldn't put it past them.

However, I'm sure there's a fair amount of ratioanle behind attacks like that - 9/11 were symbolic, rather than politically structural targets.
Despite the mass loss of life, it was designed to make a point, rather than inflict maximum damage.
They also saw some kind of demented 'moral high ground' in showing western citizens what it was like to have our cities destroyed, in response to us doing it to other cities.

I'd predict Bin Laden to stick to that kind of agenda Although with other parties involved things would be less predictable.

But I don't think Al-Qaeda would go for maximum damage, and killing people at a funeral, and the funeral of a man who stood for acceptance of other faiths/christan 'interpretations', despite his otherwise hard-line views, wouldn't be good symbolism in anyone's mind.

You never know though - anyone who does want to go for a big hit, it'd be quite an opportunity, if they could pull it off.

I keep wondering if those Vatican guards (the mime ones in the purple and yellow clown-ish get-ups, that just stand around, and whom seem to have taken a solemn oath to remain still and not be provoked by idiot tourist) will spring forward in an attempt to protect and serve in the event, God forbid, that there is a terrorist attack? *breathes* What is their purpose again?

I think that would be a sight to behold..

Mm, it's almost as if there's absolutely no real threat at all and the whole thing is used as a stick to beat us with and keep us scared and obediant.

Oh, wait...

You can watch the Pope's body live on the BBC website. That's pretty sick, if you think about it.

That's actually quite worrying. Think about it, they could claim the same 'moral high ground' by showing us what it's like to have our leaders murdered.
