What is the big twist that is meant to be so amazing half way through the game?

Ummm, they wont blow up because the artbiter and the humans stopped halo from launching and she can tell that from inside the computer. The big flood guy probably wants to know what the f**k we're all fighting over.

If that's true, that's far more understandable.
Shame the game made this in no way really possibly apparant to the player.
Good story, fantastic game (well,in parts, and multiplayer is a drug), shame about the telling of the story.

I thought the explosion happened at the end and then we were shown what survived the blast, Cortana and the giant flood controller thing. Of course I'm likely to be wrong, but I'm sure that's what happened.
