"The best film/movie ever made + why?"

The subject says it all really, there's not much else i can think to tell you guy's. Although i am doing this because i want to seek a neutral opinion to end an on-going arguement between myself and a friend.

I will be adding my point of view later.

Hmmm...I'd have to agree the Matrix is up there at the top.

What about films like 'Scum' - the portrayal of what life was really like in a Borstal changed public opinion, and ultimately led to them being shut down. If you can stand the violence, this film is amazing.

:oD Plus as well...it's led to those immortal words for the holsten ad..."Whos's the daddy?"

Also, the Matrix is a modern version of Bill and Ted's excellent adventure...

They travel everywhere using phones.

Morpheus instead of Rufus

And after anything Neo always says something like 'Woah'

the similarities are uncanny

Neo Blade I'm sure you will be very happy to know the Matrix 2 and 3 are being made as we speak and should be released within several months of each other which is great as we don't have to wait another two years for the 3rd after the second. CAN't WAIT! :D

I'd have to agree with him below. The Matrix has to be one of my favourite movies. The action scenes were brilliant - I loved the whole bullet time thing the way you could see bullets whizzing through the air and being dodged. I loved that Lobby scene where everything was destroyed. Fantastic stuff.

BTW: it refers to the bible because it is like Neo is the messiah the prophets have talked about freeing them from the Matrix - a bit like the way prophets told of Jesus saving everyone from sin and evil.

The BEST movie would have to be ...THE MATRIX....it has so much of a back ground story relating to the bible dunno much about that though...i said this movie cos no one else has seemed to have voted for it and i hope it is not lost in your minds....remeber it shall becoming back the haunt us all in the matrix 2 !!! yippppeee can't wait !!

Good joke Caff! ! That was one of the worst films I have ever seen. I only went to see it because my friend 'the critic' thought it would be brilliant and still at the end of the film he seemed to enjoy it ;-)
