Bit worried now but I guess I stay in a tent for a few days at festivals where there's more chance of having things stolen etc.
I also plan on not coming back.
What can I say, it was the best holiday ever. The staff are great, especially big Steve who surprised me by breaking into my room and laying in my bed completely naked so that when I got into bed at night he could scare me. He scared me and we had the best time ever in that room. There is a problem though that the bed broke and everyone heard us in there so it was embarrassssing the next day when we went to breakfast. The gym is good too, lots of toned men. P.S I love you Steve.
> Yeah, that's the one. You're not planning on getting a job there this
> summer to steal my money as I sleep are you?
lol nah i'm not working there although it is very well paid with 'extras' :-D Me and my cousins have probably bought stuff that has been 'acquired' from there.
If you come back with everything you brought with you from that place i'll be very, very surprised, though i think the Brooklyn one is even worse
I shall inform you on the theft: It was by one of their honest, hard-working EMPLOYEES, who let themselves into our room, rifled through our things, and then stole a large sum from our saved MONEY which we obviously did not want to carry around the city with us (common sense). I was told I had not "been sensible" with the money, which we had locked inside our prgoes on inside hotels," having worked myself as a housemaid, I find very insulting!!!
PLEASE do not lose your money on an overpriced, immoral establishment--You will seriously lose out in the long run!!!
It cost something like £421 for two people staying ten nights. Could have paid the same price to stay at another YMCA which is pretty much the same for two weeks in Brooklyn but you can only really get there by underground. We thought it would work out about the same if you add on the travelling costs and the hassel. Plus we decided to only go for ten days as it's still a fairly long time but will cut down a lot of spending costs.
> Meh, you can't beat a wild weekend in Blackpool.
Damn right and I'm going there next week. However, I wouldn't call spending time with my 92 year old Great Granny 'wild'.
So not only do we get free accomodation but we also get free pizza!
Don't answer if you don't want, but how much was it? Interested in prices of that sort of thing.
