Hello.
I have been coding a website with my friend thegerrid and we have run into difficulties. This is our first foray into the world of HTML (arg!!) and we don't really know what we're doing.
here is our site:
http://www.iamsock.com/griggspall/index.html
1) why are those stupid staghosting things above the table on the index?!
2) how do we make gerrid's bookmarks work? They work offline but not when the page is hosted. Weird!
cheers!

I know it's a form, but you can make the action of a form a hyperlink, surely? I know it works because it works offline, just not online. And I would make it a 2nd page but I cba.

You'd have to have them on the site anyway as an agreement of the hosting. They're automatically put at the bottom of every page providing that you code the page properly. If you leave tags open they could appear anywhere.

Yeh, that's cos your link isn't a link. It's a form.
When using a form, all your input tags need to be between the tags, and I don't think you mean to send it to the page you are doing - forms don't work like that.
You want to send the form to a second page really, not the same one.

Are they not server generated, in the same way geocities puts it's own ads in, thus ruining my free webspace?

Don't worry about what it looks like, everything is perfect except for the fact that neither of the buttons do what they're supposed to.
Basically the first button is meant to take you to the second part of the document, so the link is to "#section2" and it takes you to . It works fine offline but as soon as it goes online it doesn't work.
