Hello.
I have been coding a website with my friend thegerrid and we have run into difficulties. This is our first foray into the world of HTML (arg!!) and we don't really know what we're doing.

1) why are those stupid staghosting things above the table on the index?!
2) how do we make gerrid's bookmarks work? They work offline but not when the page is hosted. Weird!

Hehe. I, in my foolishness, assumed that when people talk about offline sites, they mean on their own testing server. Ooops, my bad!

It's a HTTP protocol thing (You're not using HTTP while offline).

Can I make a suggestion then?

Enclose both forms in one set of tags, and instead of the first submit button, replace it with a link button that links to the next section of the form. How does that sound?

It's a lot more efficient doing it that way. The way you had it setup would involve reloading the whole page just to move down a bit. By doing it my way, it would simply jump down the page a bit.

I don't know how you mean "make the action of a form a hyperlink". A hyperlink is created using tags.

When you create a form, you use tags, and the action should point the form to a page - either the page which will handle the data being submitted, or the next part of the form perhaps.

I believe the use of bookmarks, eg. "index.html#section" (where "#section2" is the bookmark) is technically incorrect, but it does work. Unless specifically required though, it is bad practice to use this.
