It is a load of poop. It will not download anything anymore. It took me like an hour to download on song just because it would not download it. AND I'M ON BROADBAND.

What download program should i use instead?

No problemo. There is always the option of Bit Torrent but I'd only use for games, movies and albums rather than songs. But it is rather annoying. Lots of dodgy files, etc

I think any file sharing program has it's occasional virus but they're only zip, rar, exe and torrent files. All the audio files should be fine. But look out for files similar to:

BoySetsFire - Last years nest - 01 - 2002 - NOT FAKE

Limewire has loads of those and they're all fake

Did it say installation was successful?
Also, Limewire is a Java applet thingy so it may be your java settings
