Members of the press and general public have packed a conference room to witness the rebirth of World Championship Wrestling. There is alot of chatter amoung the crowd as regards the running of the company. Everyone knows all too well that WCW originally died due to very bad management.
Suddenly, the crowd hushes as an announcement is made:
"Ladies and gentleman, the President of WCW.........Eric Bischoff!!"
"I'm back......and better than ever", Bischoff's music is played as he makes his way to the centre of the stage, pointing and smiling at random members of the crowd. He stands at the microphone stand with the biggest smile planted on his face. He takes a deep breath and allows the journalists to take as many photos as they like. Finally, Bischoff addresses the crowd:
"WCW is back baby!"
This receives a huge pop from the crowd.
"When I received the call to become President of WCW once again, I couldn't refuse, I mean the name Eric Bischoff is synonomous with WCW. There's only one man who can make this company work, and that man is me. I made WCW a success back in the 90s and I will make WCW the best wrestling organisation once again!"
Another pop from the crowd, and Bischoff has to silence them with his hand.
"When Monday Nitro returns in a few weeks I guarantee all of you the greatest night of your lives! What's a wrestling promotion without a World
Title? Nothing. So, on the first Nitro of WCW's new era, we will have a match for the WCW World Heavyweight Title!"
As soon as this announcement is made, Triple H's music hits and he comes on stage wearing a suit. He walks towards the microphone stand with an angry look on his face:
"Eric, you know I am the best wrestler in this company, I was your first signing in the draft, it would only be fair if you handed me the title right now!"
The crowd boo, and the atmosphere is more like a wrestling show than a press conference. Eric smiles and puts his hand on Triple H's shoulder:
"You know, you're right! But, I'm afraid if I gave you the title right here right now, it would drastically reduce the credibility of the title. You wouldn't want to be carrying a second rate Championship, would you Hunter?
So, on Nitro it will be Triple H versus...........him!"
Eric points to the rafters where a dark figure is standing, watching the procedings. The spotlight reveals that the character is Sting! Triple H looks a combination of shocked and scared.
Bischoff grabs the mic:
"Two of the greatest wrestlers of all time, competing for the most coveted prize in the business, only in WCW!!"
The crowd cheer as the press conference comes to an end.

Just as long as the neutrals actually have a clue about wrestling past the WWE. Obviously Congy does just bit worried people who don't know about the likes of Psychosis and The Juice will mark the shows down just because the other promotion has Kane and Big Show and they actually know them guys so rate it higher
Yeah, Cong might prefer you to do it since he's probably busy enough. We'll see.
Also, I hope Cong does weekly roundups(like a ratings report) or something like that. I have high hopes for this, it looks like it could be alot of fun for us all.

In reality, there is nothing stopping you from posting a message saying how much you like any Promotion. But, it would be good if Congers(or another neutral) ran a weekly/monthly email poll.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me too. Hopefully, I'll have something ready to post on Evolution Wrestling tomorrow...

As for a stipulation, you'll just have to "watch" Nitro and see! I may do a contract signing before the actual show, if I have time. Keep a look out for it.
Maybe we could do a poll every so often of everyones favourite promotion(the owners can't vote for themselves, obviously), this would keep the neutrals interested and may give us something else to work towards aswell as ratings.

Looks good to me, I am taking a neutral view on this whole Promotion Wars thing so it is interesting to see what people come up with. Triple H Vs Sting eh? Should be a good match. Is it a normal match? or a cage or something? Could spice it up a bit, but just a thought. WCW is all in your hands mate. Looking forward to what you're going to do with it
