Suddenly I awoke, surrounded by darkness. I turned to my clock to see a blank display. Rubbing my eyes I climbed out of bed and headed out to the landing. The lightswitch didn't work. "Another power cut", I mumbled to myself as I felt my way down the stairs. Walking into the kitchen, a moth fluttered past my head. Stupid moths. My watch was in the bathroom. 2am. Blurg. Suddenly, power returned and I could see the light glowing from upstairs. As I walked back up, I killed that stupid moth by CRUSHING it into ETERNAL DAMNATION under the immense power of my fist.

However, with the death of the moth, something inside me had also died. My mood switched, my feelings switched. I was no longer a carefree, harmless-creature-murdering God among men. I was no longer the all-powerful, self-indulgent sexual predator. I became something else. With these new thoughts running through my mind, I returned to bed and contemplated the events that had just occurred.

At 8am I awoke and dressed myself for work. I still lacked confidence, and I had a feeling this would not be like the other days of pleasure that usually made up my life. Sitting at my desk, I felt so alone. I did not usually feel alone. Something had changed; switched, some might say. There were many people moving around, but alone I was in my mind. Trying to shake these feelings off, I went outside for a smoke. I saw a moth fluttering around a bin. It was as black as the darkness that had consumed me last night. Its eyes glowed red with evil and fury. I could hear it laughing as I fell to the ground in agony. I was dying the moth had flicked the switch of death!
