Quick warning though, it will consume your life. Really, it will.
I hate, more than most people alive, anything fantasy related. Can't stand dragons/pixies/goblins/wizards, yet all I do when not at work is World of Warcraft.
It's worrying just how much I play and look forward to it. Sob like a little girl who dropped her lolly on the floor when NTL doesn't work during the day because I can only squeeze in a couple hours before I have to sleep.
Why do I enjoy it? Because the usual part of RPG/MMORPGs - stat grinding/levelling up - happens incidentally to the game.
You take quests and have fun, explore and constantly think "Ok, I've seen the best thing ever now, I'd be...nope, this new bit is much better" and then, without realising, you'll glow and get that thrumming sound because you've advanced a level.
Genius game.

I wanna smoke a pipe now.
This is the first ever mmorpg I've played. What an utter joy.
And you don't even realise that suddenly you're lv6 and all you've been doing is running around exploring and looking at things.
Welcome to your new Beardy life.

Absolutely astounding. I don't mean that lightly either. I'm gobsmacked.
And if you think it's good now, wait till you leave that land and start to explore.

Except the geek bit.
Nobody's safe! NOBODY!
except me because I'm not a sweaty bearded geek.
