Gerry is not your standard film. The only listed cast are the two Gerry's and they don't really speak to each other too much. It's made up of a series of beautifully framed shots, often just with the two friends walking accross stunning backdrops for minutes on end. To most people this would be extremely boring, but to the more patient viewer it's almost hypnotic.

I quite enjoyed it, although it's only got an average rating on the IMDB. It's a bit testing at times but it's worth it for some great scenes (Casey Affleck stuck on top of a large rock and with Damon trying to work out how to get him down) and a memorable ending that'll make you think (there's a few theories of its meaning which could all work out).
Check it out if it sounds like something you may be interested it. I'm sure lots of you are on internet rental sites, you might as well...
I think he was bitter :) Only slightly though.
Or perhaps we're getting too old for his style of humour. This I doubt, I still enjoy his older films.
Yeah, Clerks was never my favourite. Mallrats and Dogma vie for that most prestigious of prizes.
Ranger Danger and the Danger Rangers sound good. His sort of thing. Excellent is potential result, I would say.

Well it could go either way then as it's Clerks 2 next. Could be fantastic but surely it couldn't beat the original. Although I seem to remember Clerks wasn't your favourite of his films anyway.
Saw Jersey Girl and liked it but not in the same way as I do his other films. It was predictable and cheesy but it had its moments, and any film that manages to make me feel sad that Jenny From The Block has died must be doing something right.
I still want to see what this 'Ranger Danger and The Danger Rangers' is going to turn out like. Plus there's a Clerks animated film which I'm looking forward to as I enjoyed the series and the second 'Evening With' DVD which I should hopefully be in as I attended the London Q&A.
Yeah...he has sold out a bit, hasn't he?

Yeah, I can see how you could get bored and like I said it's testing at times. I just happened to be in the right mood to sit through it and by the end I found myself really enjoying it. It's also quite interesting with the different theories of the ending and how maybe the two friends could just be the one person. Not sure if I'll ever feel the need to watch it again though.
