I guess you've got a point about MR......but trust me if you stick with them they can really offer a great drive.....have you tried the '86 mr2 g-limited?
as for skipping.....they're not as bad in gt2 as they were in gt1. I used to regularly win against powerful NSX's on GT1 simply by touching them on a corner, and they'd bounce off the track. they're much more stable in GT2.....maybe softer rear suspension settings would help!

I just have to say, the *ultimate* car in this class has to be the Honda S2000 in race form. It goes like the clappers (revs to 10500 RPM!) and has a stupendous amount of grip. You can floor the accelerator coming out of bends without worrying about wheelspin too. It's even branded with the GT logo!
Oh yes, and one more note about this car. The developers have got in a bit of a mix-up. There's another S2000 model, the Spoon S2000 - if you read it's description you'll see something about how it was actually entered in some Japanese endurance race in real life, branded with the GT and Polyphony logos. However, you can't race-modify it and the normal Honda S2000 gets the GT logos instead!

I agree, the FTO LM is a great car! It was the one of the fastest cars in GT1 and I assume it's the same in GT2. However, I really don't get on with the Del-Sol LM - in fact, MR (i.e. mid-engined, rear-wheel drive) cars in general. They're far too light at the rear which is a real pain on bumpy courses like Trial Mountain - the car just skips around too much!
But I bought one, then won the flashy version and did stuff to it.
Alls I know is, Michael Knight tried to take me and I yanked his fro off and ran it over with streethawk.
"In my Skyline call me master, 'cos you just got owned"
I have numerous Skyline's in my garage, all at various stages of upgrading for the different events.
Got the same alloys on each one, though. :-)
Bought it, slammed it around and won.
Upgraded it and now it is The Don.
Ain't nobody can touch my Skyline.
You can't even look at it.
My first car on GT2 was/is the Mirage Asti - I've got it all done up to racing spec now, and while it's obviously no match for th bigger beasts, it's great in its class. Looks great, sounds lovely, and handles really well - corners like it's on rails!
I just can't bring myself to sell it, and I still enter it in the suitable races, because it's a pleasure to drive!
Vroom Vroom.
Puts Wacky Races in a whole new light now.
And Chugaboom...phwoar!

I let it cool off a little first.
can't stand it when I enter a race with a stupid hp advantage and lead easily right from the start.
fiat Coupe 20v, '86 mr2 g-limited.....they're great.
and the single best car in the game? try the Cusco Impreza GT. I reckon that'll win ANY of the tarmac races in GT mode that it can enter (remember how it whipped your butt in the GT300 first time round? There's a reason).
