Not enough capacity to go round...
B* have even produced a guide:
Here's a snippet, I haven't linked to it in case someone should go on to sign up with *T

Here's a short guide to enjoying the Ukraine v England game if you're planning to watch it online this Saturday. The technical requirements have been set by Perform Media Services Ltd, the company showing the game.
This is the first time that such an event, with a potentially huge audience, has been on the internet. There will be pressure on the entire broadband network during the match, and slow speeds could affect everybody using the internet, not just BT customers.
Probably be a bit like the Millennium bug and no one will notice...
Yet another football thread from
[s]Hmmm...[/s] ANd you kinda prompted me Hmmm... we are generally aware of things like this, but it was me in on Saturday and no one had actually put it up.
Hopefully the powers that be will get on top of things soon.
[s]Hmmm...[/s] Things seem to be holding up fine :¬)
I would have thought some of the important Wimbledon matches (which were both free and not visitor capped) caused more problems/usage.
My Freeola node - Faraday, City of London has only just touched 90% - BETTER THAN MOST OF THE WEEKDAYS recently :¬P
Anti Loss Tool (ALT) is currently off but I can see the 'backhaul' is causing some loss of speed but not a problem at the moment.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I see Freeola also updated their 'Status Page' - I'm sure it wasn't me that prompted that...
On to other news...
[s]Hmmm...[/s] Think of it this way Chris. All the England team have is their history.
And it's stupid. Better than not watching it at all, but only marginally. If it does go badly, then it will be terrible. And it sets a precedence for doing the same in the future.
Bring all England matches back to ITV i say. It's the only decent thing they ever did.
*EDIT* Oh yeh, Ukraine are going to win ;P Voronin's going to score 5 ROFL.
That opinion was from a football fan. It's just a silly idea.
> Such a stupid idea.
An ISP would say that. :p
