With the first round of the Promotion wars draft out of the way, I'm taking this opportunity to have a look how the various feds are shaping up.

Canadian based Evolution wrestling had a very good round, bringing Chris Jericho back to Canada with the first pick, he's sure to be over huge in his home country. Jericho is joined by Kane and Shane McMahon. A good result for owner, Jae

England's Fast Track Wrestling took probably the worlds finest Wrestler in Chris Benoit and the legendary Undertaker, again a very strong result as Owner Grandprix can now call on two world renowned superstars.

Honour Pro Wrestling of America will rely on the exciting, but to some degree unproven, talent of Rob Van Dam and the experience and drawing power of veteran Ric Flair.

The New Independant Wrestling Alliance, again based in the USA, look like having the most volatile locker-room to date, with Shawn Michales, Vince McMahon and Bret Hart re-united for the first time since the 'Montreal Scrw-job'...A risky move on the part of owner Chris? Or a calculated gamble guaranteed to draw fans? Only time will tell...

American fed, Smackdown Wrestling certainly have proven drawing power in the forms of Kurt Angle and Steve Austin if the locker-room here can remain healthy, pulling in fans certainly shouldn't be too much of a problem...let's hope owner Lipe has invested in good medical insurance...

Canadian-based Ultimate Wrestling Federation made just one pick, bringing in the talented but precocious Brock Lesnar. The key to this fed's success will obviously be elevating talent to give Lesnar a worthwhile opponent, a tough job for owner, Ant.

World Championship Wresling and owner Raven-ous have an interesting potential feud between Sting, the old face of the old WCW and Triple H, the new face of the WWE...

Figo's World Wide Wrestling corporation seem to have achieved a good blend fro the sports entertainment fan, The Rock, Foley and Savage are certainly charismatic, if nothing else...

Finally Kawada's Worldwide Xtreme Wrtestling made just one pick, bringing in Eddie Guerrero, but with the first pick in the next round, the direction of this fed should become clearer.

Finally, Hulk Hogan, Mike Tyson and Bill Goldberg remain as free agents, having failed to find anyone to take them one. Surely it's only a matter of time before an owner desperate for ratings, brings one of them into the fold...

Harsh :)

The Rock is still a great wrestler.

Mick Foley is queen of High Spots.

Randy Savage can be a Manager.
