Starting to reek of Spielberg kid, but the 3 - 4 frames of war machine (It doesn't look like a tripod, but it looks pretty damn cool) menacing a ferry. Shame the trailer gives away the entire way human technology is rendered useless.
Teaser 2.
War Machine.

DVD...
One of my all-time favourite films, even if the end does go a little bit too religious for my liking. Never read the book, might have to get that now before Spielberg turns it into Indiana Jones and The Lost Treasure of His Father's Love.

Where!?
Or did you download it? I might have to do that...

They're using a ferry to replace Thunderchild? Not good.
As for the human technology being rendered useless...do you really think that if aliens had the ability to travel between worlds, requiring vastly superior technology, that we would really stand a chance against an invasion?

No idea about the "They're already here" tag, but the first teaser shows Mars. Unless it's a clever feint. The original story is "Mars invades Earth in 1898. Around London", so it's already mutated a number of times.
[edit]Makes sense that the "aliens" are in fact subterranean. We know less about our own planets oceans and whats more than 4 miles below the crust than we do about the rest of the solar system. We know there is only (possibly) microscopic life on Mars, so for a contemporary retelling of the story Mars wouldn't really work. In 1898 and 1951 possibly, but not 2005.
Still, I'd rather have aliens from outide our solar system than burrowers....

*SPOILER*
Hopefully the time in the house is from the EMP, and it'll be over quickly. I wanna see martian war machines causing mischief, not divorced father / kids pulling of the heart strings.
[edit] What the hell am I doing posting on this board at 8:20 on a Friday? To hell with this, I'm going to watch "The Machinist". One word review so far? "Skinny"
