Liverpool v Juventus
AC Milan v Inter
Lyon v PSV
Chelsea v Bayern Munich

Disaster. Absolute disaster. I can't see any way the Pool can possibly beat Juventus, especially when I think Nedved is the greatest midfielder playing the game today. Except Igor Igor Biscan, of course. And if we somehow get past them, which we won't, we'll have Chelsea waiting for us in the semis. Disaster.

Oh yeah, and Inter AC should be heated etc sigh.

Well, Xabi Alonso could confess to the police about the Nunez murder. Whenever I look at Xabi, I think he's never done anything wrong or swore in his entire life.

He's blatantly not angry at Frank Lampard at all for breaking his ankle. And I suspect he may be the only person in the world to called Stevie Gerrard by the name Stephen. That includes his parents.

"Oh jolly good. Good goal, Steven. But you've got to feel for those poor Greek lads. Maybe a draw would have been better. Look, poor old Rivaldo is weeping. Do stop celebrating, Steven. James, don't do that silly jump."

Can't really see Nedved getting intimidated. By anyone. At all. Our only hope is that he gets injured like he has a tendency to do before big matches. I say we slip a dirty dirty Roma player like Cassano a sly £1000 or so to stamp on his head or the like.

The only plus I can think of is that Del Piero isn't performing that well and Trezeguet is over-rated. Sadly, Ibrahimovic isn't.

They may play Kapo, who seems to be a waster in the Nunez vein. You can but hope. And Cisse knows him, according to Football Manager.

Also, this could be our plan. Brainwash Baros into thinking he's playing for the Czech Republic instead of Liverpool. This is backed up by shaving Morientes' head and pretending that he's Jan Koller and we signed him in the window without telling anyone. Then we lop off that really fast guy from Inter's leg (Obafemi Martins, or something like that) and splice it onto Cisse.

At the match, Baros believes Nedved's performance is for the Republic and Koller is standing there, so he's inspired to Euro 2004 it up, Holland-style.. Then we send on Igor to rampage at will, perhaps breaking a rib here and there. Cannavaro for example. We also grow Dudek's hair, shave his face, grease him up a bit, and swop him for Buffon. Also without telling anyone.

Finally, we shoot Nunez, just to be sure he won't play.

Then we will win.

I reckon there is a small chance Liverpool can progress for the following reasons:
1) We are great at Anfield. The atmosphere will be deafining and they will be intimidated.
2) Alonso should be back for the second leg.
3)They will be without Alessio Tacchinardi for both legs. A key midfielder.
4)They have 6 players on yellow cards so im hoping a few get booked and miss the return leg.
5)We have IGOR!!!

My heart says we can do it but my mind has serious doubts. If Exeter can draw with Man Utd at Old Trafford then we can do it. There will be a lot of pressure on them to win and we are underdogs so we havn't got much to lose!!!

Aha. Mickey Owen's old team gets further than Real.

And again, AC vs Inter will be good.

Yeah, but with Inter it's usually an equaliser rather than a winner. :(

Only two in injury time - one was the 88th minute I believe. Still a fantastic display though. Sampdoria must have just switched off completely.

But I say it in a kind of ironic irony way, you know. Double header.

Anyway, I haven't tended to play much with international teams on PES4, I've pretty much stuck to licensed clubs and the master league. But I always played as the Czech Republic on number 3. Suppose I'd have to be Argentina if you're being Brazil, and I'd have to register Riquelme, naturally.

Actually, inter have scored 14 goals in the last 10 mins (serie A alone). Not quite the same as Milans last gasp ones, but theres about.

Although milan havnt done anything like the sampdoria game where inter got 3 in injury time!

Juve will beat Liverpool, Milan will beat Inter, Lyon will beat PSV and Chelsea will beat Bayern.

Then Juve will beat Chelsea and Milan will beat Lyon.

Then the final will be 0-0.
