What happened to Ideal (Jonny Vegas thing) on BBC3?

Who watches Ideal?

It was exactly as I expected it to be, and I think it was probably exactly what the makers intended to achieve. Generally funny to watch, with a decent enough storeyline to make you want to keep watching. Also there were several more obvious funny bits like the hot knives in the cup of peepee.

That was the last one? I heard it was, but then the air-head blonde came on after and said "And Ideal will be back next week."

I hope it comes back soon, it wasn't hilarious but I enjoyed it, even tho I missed a coupla episodes.

I'd put it in the same category as 'The Smoking Room', good effort, funny in places, but potential to be even better in the 2nd series.

I wish Friends were intended as that. Sadly, it wasn't. If it were, maybe it wouldn't have gone on for so bloody long. The final series was actually called "The Nth Season". Even the writers couldn't remember how many they'd done.

Change 'our society' to 'american/new york/gimps society' and that's Friends. :D

Or Channel 4 had more money to buy it with. ITV wouldn't show it on the principle that it might be funny, I don't think they like funny things. Sometimes they show something that looks like a comedy, but then you watch it and realise it can't be. It's just a very sophisticated sideways look at our society with canned laughter for irony.
