Look up the PHP Apache installation tutorial, it worked perfectly for me.

No. I meant it, this has been driving me insane. One problem though. When i try and restart Apache it says that the requested operation has failed
At the moment I'm running PHP5 on Apache 2.0.
I'll just check my httpd.conf to find the lines I added, although remember that the paths will be to different files for PHP4.
LoadModule php5_module "F:/php/php5apache2.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
SetEnv PHPRC F:/php
PHPIniDir "F:/php"
[EDIT: Just realized, for PHP4 it should be LoadModule php4_module not
LoadModule php5_module
If your using PHP4, that could be you problem]

If you browse the file you should already find an existing list of LoadModules.
But I don't think it matters where you add it, as long as it's not in the header bit.
LoadModule setenvif_module modules/mod_setenvif.so
#LoadModule speling_module modules/mod_speling.so
#LoadModule status_module modules/mod_status.so
#LoadModule unique_id_module modules/mod_unique_id.so
LoadModule userdir_module modules/mod_userdir.so
#LoadModule usertrack_module modules/mod_usertrack.so
#LoadModule vhost_alias_module modules/mod_vhost_alias.so
#LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.so
LoadModule php5_module "c:/web/php/php5apache2.dll
But how comes, all of the files above it are *.so and this one is *.dll
This is driving me insane. Sorry to be annoying guys
