Am I the only one that, as soon as I set my eyes upon the large screen with, err, that old bloke (forgive me, I don't know his name) on it thought of 1984?

So far, there's this whole 1984 thing about it.

Ok - excluding the teleporting device and the aliens and the hovering android things that take photos (Big Brother is watching...)

But you get me, right?

I was born in 1990. Don't really know much about before then (or 6 or 7 years after),

*sigh*

Sorry. :(

Ho ho ho.
Never read it. So I can't add anything useful to this thread.

I'll just be leaving then...

In that it's a dystopia.......

Yes?

It's hardly a major revelation...

Yes I do realise you're not on about the year of 1984. I don't actually know what you ARE on about, but I figured out that it wasn't the year.

Orwell, 1984. Book. Famous.

Don't worry, it's Azul cleverly pointing out that Half Life 2 is set in a dystopian world....

The guy from 1984 didn't have a Gravity gun, though. :)

Or a Laser-guided rocket launcher.

Or an Overwatch pulserifle.

Or a herd of antlions.

I can't see '1984:THE GAME' being a big hit, lol.

Yeah, that's blindingly obvious.
But there's loads of details that are similar/identical.

The jumpsuits for example and their colour, and the telescreens and the posters of the bloke and the Big Brother is watching you thing.

Bah.
