Am I the only one that, as soon as I set my eyes upon the large screen with, err, that old bloke (forgive me, I don't know his name) on it thought of 1984?

So far, there's this whole 1984 thing about it.

Ok - excluding the teleporting device and the aliens and the hovering android things that take photos (Big Brother is watching...)

But you get me, right?

And the patrol helicopters around the city!!!
And the big massive building!!1

yeah but gordon freeman is a better name than winston smith, and winston wouldnt be a very good hero geek, he's afraid of rats!

And the voice you hear throughout talking about "inaction is a crime - report..." etc in the background, and about broken laws.

Yeah, that's blindingly obvious.
But there's loads of details that are similar/identical.

The jumpsuits for example and their colour, and the telescreens and the posters of the bloke and the Big Brother is watching you thing.

yer me neither i was born then but still i wouldnt see it being a total hot game.
however i think they did have rpg's in that time

Or a Laser-guided rocket launcher.

Or an Overwatch pulserifle.

Or a herd of antlions.

I can't see '1984:THE GAME' being a big hit, lol.

Yes I do realise you're not on about the year of 1984. I don't actually know what you ARE on about, but I figured out that it wasn't the year.
