I really like punk, Rock and Punkrock does anyone else and could anyone recommend any other bands of a similar nature or type of music

No, I mean different as in different to Blink and Good Charlotte etc.

The last few CD's I've bought are Mars Volta 'Frances The Mute', Willy Mason 'Where The Humans Eat', Interpol 'Antics', Supergrass 'Supergrass Is Ten' and Modest Mouse 'Longtime'. That's the music I enjoy listening to.

I don't own the My Chemical Romance album (which could be excellent for all you know, but instead you judge it by one single) I was just suggesting it to the guy as a band similar to his tastes but yet slightly different.

So claiming to be beat up in school, left out, lonely and doing it all in a punk manner with a bit of screaming at the end is 'different'? I'd like to know your definition of generic, homslice, because MCR are about as calculated as you could ever imagine.

Look at the video for I'm Not Okay. I know, it makes your eyes bleed to watch due to its insane levels of crapness, but let's at least try, aye?

So, it starts with one of them saying to the singer that he's crap at everything. Which he is, the fat waster. Just look at him. So the fat singer goes 'yeah, but I'll try'. Wow, you're so hardcore man.

Then it goes onto all the 'popular' kids abusing one of My Chemical Romance. I WONDER WHO YOU'RE TRYING TO APPEAL TO NOW, AYE? Could it be all the 'OMG we're SO misunderstood' rich punk teen kids? I believe so, mister record label person-type man.

Then it goes on. And on. Then they start screaming to look serious and/or emotional about the subject matter. Which is the leader singer not being okay. Wow. Deep. And so different.

Then it finishes with My Chemical Romance rejecting all the popular people and being cool by themselves (that retard refusing to kiss the pretty hot blonde). Wow. Radical.

Yes, you could say I hate them. Because I do.

Like them as much as you will, but they are in NO MEANS different.

I agree that the Offspring and My Chemical Romance are good bands to listen too.

They recently decided to not bother anymore and to enjoy the fruits of their labour. They haven't fallen out or anything. They just cant be bothered any more.

They're a bit above average, but still good to listen to.

Yup, I agree.

Everclear a bit whiney though.

Everclear and Jimmy Eat World are decent.
