1) Perfect Dark

2) Look at the power of the Weapons (e.g.)Sniper :-)

3) My first impressions of Perfect Dark were negative, I'm a Goldeneye veteran and this game
seemed to have something missing... it seemed that Rare had added to much, tweaked
something that little bit too much. I didn't like the target (which was now a green square, as
opposed to a red circle on Goldeneye) and I also wasn't very impressed with the secondary
modes on the guns.
So after playing the first few levels, disappointed, I decided to go to the Carrington institute
to learn more about the games features (the training sessions). Then I started to really get
into the game, secondary modes on the weapons became second nature and
stealing/disarming opponents of their weapons before shooting them was finally a reality. I
was finally agent "Perfect Dark", after doing all the training sessions and getting Gold for all
the weapons in weapon training.
Then the game really started to come to life, the tasks are a little more complicated than
with Goldeneye, but all the levels are well designed and fun to play. As with Goldeneye
there are 3 difficulty levels, to suit everybody's abilities. One of the great things about
Perfect Dark is that there are just so many new options, new guns, secondary gun modes,
and different modes of play, you can even complete the same level with a friend (split
screen). As an added incentive for completing a level new cheats become available, such
as "classic site" (so you can play with the circular red target of Goldeneye), this is a plus as
for many of the cheats in Goldeneye you had to perform tasks that would only be obvious by
going to a cheat site on the internet.
As with Goldeneye where this game really excels is the multiplayer mode, which far
surpasses Goldeneye because of the addition of computer controlled players (which can
play with or against you and your friends). This makes a difference particularly to the two
player battle modes which on Goldeneye became a boring run for the body armour shoot
down your opponent affair with the best player (who owned the game) always winning. All in
all the multiplayer game is much more fun, this is a must purchase for owners of
Goldeneye, and all fans of first person shooting games and all those with friends.

In summary this is an absolutely brilliant game with excellent single and multiplayer game
modes, the only criticism I can give it is that its a little harder to get into at first than
Goldeneye, which is a much more pick up and play game. However all these extra features,
although meaning the game is more difficult to play initially, will ultimately only increase the
lastability of this game far beyond that of Goldeneye, and that's no easy task considering
Goldeneye is as old as the N64 and me and my friends still play it regularly.

1) Super Mario Advance

2)walk, talk, toilet, play, night, anytime: MARIO

3)The GameBoy Advance, needed a launch game, it needed something which would appeal to the new young kids of the today, who would ask there parents to buy the console for them, or if they had been clever they would have saved up the money to buy it for themselves.

Nintendo probably didn't have to think too hard when choosing the launch game, they thought about it, and thought, and hey guess what Mario popped into there heads. Then they thought about creating a whole new Mario game, but that would take to long, so they revamped the most overlooked of the Mario Bros games and re-released a classic from the NES.

Mario Bros 2.

As I said, this was the most overlooked of all the Mario's, maybe because its not the traditional 'jump-on-the-head' Mario games we are all used to.

Within the game you have to pull up vegetables and throw them at your enemies, or if you don't really like your greens you can pick up your enemies and throw them at each other, its this simple bases which works so well in the game, its original, yet satisfying when you have thrown a carrot at an enemy and it kills this and then bounces of another five to give you an extra life (because its all about the timing of the throw).

So, you now know how to kill the enemies, what about the music, well its superb, thats all I have to say, the original Mario Bros 2, has had its original addictive tune revamped onto this game, not only that but the characters have voices, when you get killed as Luigi, he cries for about 3 seconds, and its such a baby cry that it'll make you laugh. When approaching a boss it'll threaten you and says something like 'You aren't going any furthur'.

Infact the characters voices are great, depending on what they have just achieved they will talk a different phrase.

One more reason the game is unlike no Mario before, is because you aren't just Mario, or Mario or Luigi, this time you have the choice to choose between four Nintendo greats. Maybe this was the reason this game was overlooked back in the 80's, but its this re-released originality that makes the game so special, and don't think you have completed it when it says THE END, Yoshi feels, he must have a day and prolong your enjoyment...

(but you better find out for yourselves what thats all about).

Its just all the little Nintendo Gold extra's that are thrown in that make the game special, the way you haven't completed it properly until you have collected all the gold coins, or Yoshi extras...

But make NO mistake, this isn't Mario Bros 2, this is Mario Advanced, and it trully is advanced...

1) Monkey Island 2

2) Guybrush Threepwood, this will be funny, no?

3) Monkey Island 2, the first game I had for my Amiga and the first game I ever got from SR!!. I actually played this game before I played the original and was I impressed?? I think so. At the time the game was huge, a mammoth 12 floppy disks, my dad even bought me a second floppy disk drive so I could cope. So why the hassle, it's just an adventure game?? Not quite, although this is all that the player actually does, the game is comedy genious, but it is by no means easy, is it RBS!! This was in the days when games and thier story lines were original, although a return of the suberb sword fights from the original would not have gone a miss. Look at this game, there are references to transvestitism, poisoning dogs and attempted murder, and Mr Threepwoods one liners really make you laugh. When has any other game needed you to outsmart a drunk so that you could beat him in a drinking contest, or to mix drinks to win a spitting contest?? You even have to saboutage the career of a chef just to get a job in the pub, oh and while i'm at it, you have to steal jojo the monkey, absolute class. No game since has had such an involvoing and funny story line, the Final Fantasy games have stories which are better, but where's the comedy??

Anyway, thats my first contribution, no-one will agree, but I merit this game as my favourite of all time, even better than Zelda on the Gameboy, and as I've said before new games wouldn't go a miss by taking pointers from the past, role on Escape for Monkey Island on the PS2.
