This is the first page and the general look

I did put some nice rollovers where the links are in the top right but they decided not to work and I had to just settle for normal ones for now.
Then this is what the links when you click them will have at the end of them

As I said... Be gentle....
EDIT: Fixed the link
"FFS"
It's was only like my first draft. Give me a break, alright?
If it's a gallery - why not have thumbnails?

The way I'm envisioning his site working, as it's clearly different from the way you're picturing it (and I could have got the wrong end of the stick on this) is what he's shown us, with text and general site content over the top of the whopping great blue picture held in containers (such as the one shown in this picture http://www.7seven.cc/Beta/screen1.JPG ). Now if my mental image is correct, then every page on his site is going to weigh in at 500KB before any content is even loaded. And if he's trying to use the background to demonstrate his art, then what happens if the user wants to view the art without any of the clutter and muck on top? They're going to have to follow a link which reloads the image without any divs plastered over the top, which is no different to a normal art gallery (except for being a hell of lot slower).
The site is a gallery of those pictures...removing them for the sake of efficiency would make the site pointless.

It's a gallery of digital art...
I think he did make them - go through to index2 and there are quite a few more. It'll look good if you have the background as the gallery - i.e. you pick something from the thumbs and it loads it into the back. It'll work really well, please let me make it in Flash for you!

No one can accept I made them :\
