It seems to throw as fit every time I try to run firefox. It crashes out then won't load up again without saying it has to close due to an error, or something.

Any ideas on how to get round it? I like this thing upon first impressions, but I'm not prepared to go back to IE just so I can keep it.

thanks

Right, can't be bothered with ObjectDock. Too many bugs + incompatibility problems...

So StyleXP it is. So good...

Pre 2.1 versions of StyleXP can be unstable. I'm running 3.0 with no problems at all.

Cheers guys. If Coin's still having trouble, I think I'll give it a miss for now.

As nice as it seems, I'm willing to wait for a definitive Firefox fix.

Excellent. It's usually caused when loading an extension/Theme which isn't supported by the current version of FF or when a user profile becomes corrupted.

The reason you have to delete the App Data folder manually is due to windows not removing it when you uninstall FF which results in the erronous probelm remaining no matter how many times you re-download FF.

Unlike IE, however, FF does have a "Safe Mode" which should allow you to load FF in a state where you can turn off Extensions/Themes etc without it craching.

I hope to God you're joking...

Hope I find out you're not actually as stupid as Mr. Bush... "The terrorists will not stop until they have destroyed our country, and neither will we."

Aye, I have the exact same problem.

Which is kinda putting me off.

I'll report back in 5 to tell ya if Tyla's wonderfully simple suggestion worked...

Its possibly a dodgy extension which is wuite common in Firefox.

First, Unistall FF, then delete:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

Restart

Download and install FF 1.0.1

Should all be fine now.
