I know I should've posted it in the creative writing forum, but it'll get more views here.

One early morning, in the middle of the night;
two dead boys awoke to fight;
back to back they faced each other;
with their swords, shot each other;
soon a eaf policeman heard the noise;
and shot alive the two dead boys;
if you don't believe its true;
ask the blind beggar who saw it too.

Yeah, a fairly nice children's rhyme, although calling it an "original" work is using the term somewhat loosely - it is pretty cliched.

"a eaf policeman"

You might want to edit that one.

I had heard that from a friend (Soham Patel) of mine two years ago; he said it was original. From then, the first joke I tell anyone is this. He called it "A Serious Joke". Now when all of you told that its not original; I thought I should search for it on google. I searched for pages with the exact phrase "two dead boys awoke to fight"; and I got five results, with the same content. There were some differences though; and I got a really stupid one which I am posting below. Either that friend had told me a lie or the poem has been plagerised and patched by many.

But what I ask you is, where have you heard of this poem first? I would love to pull his legs on this thing.

Here goes the most stupid version of the poem: -

Gentlemen and Ladies
And bold neaded Babies
Today I stand before u,
To stand behind u

Last Thursday was a Good Friday
There was a mother’s meeting for fathers only
Admission was free,
Pay at the order,
Take a seat and sit on the floor.

Now I begin my upside down story
One fine morning; in the middle of the night
Two dead boys awoke to fight
Two deaf policemen on hearing the noise
Came to rescue the two dead boys

If you don't believe my lies are true
Ask the blind man who saw it too.
