Look at it this way: more people might get to like the creators of 'Dream On' by looking at the sleeve notes on Eminem's album.
Plenty of re-workings have been claimed as 'original works', artists have inflated egos - get used to it.

Because sampling's catchy and re-workings can be great.

Oh and I don't think he's running out of ideas, far from it. He's still lyrically one of the best out there, but his latest album wasn't really up to standard at times.
Probably down a lot to all the crap that's been going on with Murder Inc and The Source of late.
He's definetly capable of better.
