I got The Kalevala, basically the Finnish Odyssey, and The Nature of the Gods, by Cicero. I'm going for the 'retro cool' (a millenia or so) approach.
Zeldman's "Designing With Web Standards".
Also, Lian Hearns "Brilliance of the Moon", which I highly recommend as a trilogy of fiction.
And, of course, "1921". Interesting insight into a rather surprisingly plausible argument to China traversing the world in, shockingly, 1921.
