Im on mac os x right now and using ntl broadband.

There shouldnt be any compatability problems.

Internet connections aren't operating system specific. As long as OSX drivers exist for whatever modem you are using (if it needs them), then you should be set.

If it's ethernet connected, you just dont need drivers.
And most modems are usb plug and play, so they'll work.

NTL was the first one I tried but its £18.99 for first 3 months on 1.5mb then it bumps up to £37.99 a month...Tis' crap

Well if you want 1MB you're looking at about £30 a month, in most cases. Or around that (£25 with caps etc.)

512 = £20.

Freeola Broadband's £34.99 for uncapped 2 Mb is a nice option. Available to order 1/3.

That doesn't sound bad at all! Will all the other features be the same as per at the moment? We're going to be looking for broadband in our student house next year - between 3 of us. 2MB would probably be overkill, but for £2 extra each per week compared to 512k, it might be worthwhile....
