"A large blast has been heard near the city of Dailam, where Iran has a nuclear power plant, Iranian state television reported.
The report said a missile had been fired from an unidentified aircraft.
But the Iranian Revoluntionary Guards said there had been no attack on the country.
The US State Department said it had no information on the blast.
Earlier, Iran's Intelligence Minister, Ali Yunesi, said the US has been flying unmanned spy planes over the country's nuclear sites."
