And at an event to commemorate his life, rare footage of this stand-up visionary is to be screened, including the first British outing of the documentary Outlaw Comic.
There will also be home movies of Hicks impersonating Elvis, the pilot edition of his unmade TV show Counts Of The Netherworld and a recreation of the infamous routine that was banned from the David Letterman talk show - to Hicks' disgust and Letterman's shame.
The show, which also includes live sets from Brendon Burns, Mark Steel and Glenn Wool, takes place in Jongleurs in Camden, north London, on February 27, the day after the anniversary of his death.
The £25 tickets, which will raise money for the Bill Hicks Wildlife Foundation, are available from 0870 7870707.
