Hope Eternal Sunshine wins the best script, rest of the films nominated are all rather dull if you ask me. Where's Team America? :)

It's an industry thing.

ie: Some of it's about keeping people their jobs in the British film industry.

Does anyone else resent the idea of films being considered nationalistically. I think I just invented that word, but youu get the idea; can we really be patriotic about film?

Yes, but it's a load of shiny people you can't see.

Steven Fry is probably one of my favourite television peoples.

The guy is a genius.

I remember watching it two years ago and found that Stephen Fry was rather amusing, but aside from him, it largely sucked.

I dislike industry backslapping, even if it's multi-industry backslapping.

Awards ceremonies that the industry 'good old boys' fund and drag their secretary to and attempt to look 'cool'.

and then there's the laughable idea that some of it's 'art' and everyone puckers up for the next 2 weeks of ass kissing.

Plus some jokes written by someone who should have died in the 1970's.
