Anyone else going to be watching tonight? Stephen Fry is usually a very good host.

Hope Eternal Sunshine wins the best script, rest of the films nominated are all rather dull if you ask me. Where's Team America? :)

I'm quite surprised garden state wasn't nominated for anything. To low key? Stephen Fry annoyed me after a while anyway, what with all his gay sexual innuendos. 'lets get our lips around the next juicy love plumbs of nominations ' type crap. He really did say something to that effect. Fa*got.

For that I suggest you pack your bags and move on, from now until the day you leave you opinions on this board are null and void.

Occasional?

British films are quite often excellent. Wink's comment can be applied to the industry as a whole.

I'm glad Eternal Sunshine won some stuff, it's a great film. And Fry was pretty funny too.

There are the occasional good films. Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch were both spectacular British films. Unfortunately at the other end of the spectrum, we have all those crappy things with Hugh Grant in.

It seems that the British have good films that are stolen by Americans and usually made worse.

Although, I have to admit i did like the Italian Job: L.A Heist, but i dont see why they called it the Italian Job, it was basically a completely new film, except the use of mini's.

I'd normally agree Aaron, you have good sensibilities - in this case however, it's just what they think of films in Britain, or where they've been made. I.e Britain.
