It's the people who do the lowest paid jobs that lose out, not the stars. And it also makes companies less likely to take chances, so they'll just churn out crapfests that'll do well at the box office.

You can't really complain, downloading a film is no different to stealing a DVD from a shop.

Go ahead and do it if you can, but if they do get them all closed down you've no grounds to complain about it.

The illegal downloading of motion pictures robs thousands of honest, hard-working people of their livelihood, and stifles creativity

Ahahahaha. That has to be the biggest load of tripe I've ever heard.

Oh no, Brad Pitt can't afford that 50 Grand ring he wanted and will have to settle for one at the slightly less cost of 40 Grand. His livelihood is ruined.

Yes that right, you read the title correctly. lokitorrent is gone.

So what happened?, I hear you all asking. Well it looks like the MPAA has shut the site down with a court order. If you goto the lokitorrent home page you will see a MPAA Notice stating...

-And it's the thing here just yeah-

So were does that leave the BitTorrent community? With the recent closure of other sites like SuprNova it looks like the "war" on illegal downloading by the MPAA is becoming more serious compared to the RIAA. With the MPAA targeting sites not users it seems that the message is getting clearer that they are serious.

One topic that is been brought up by alot of poeple is regarding the money poeple donated to fight this. Were has it gone? Are they going to get it back?. With no statement been made people are left wondering.

Got that in an email earlier.

Hundreds of hard-working people, like Ben look-at-me Stiller who has appeared in every film from 1998 onwards and owns three quarters of Thailand?

Poor little guy, he might not be able to drink molten gold in his diamond-encrusted castle this treacheruous evening :(
