I was just wondering if I will encounter any problems running my system with this amount of RAM?
I recently done a system check using Sandra lite and apparently I don't have enough room for more RAM. However, ASUS website states the motherboard has enough for 4gb. I've took a look inside, there are two more slots which are different colours. I'm using a ASUS A8V-Deluxe motherboard, if that is any help.
Is it just as simple as Plug in and go? Or erm, is it healthy?

If you have a custom built PC then thats useless, probably. Otherwsie nose around, its only on that page as I took it from my favourites list as that was my PC specs.
Although lookie here, it seems that 1GB is the max.
It will work fine.
Although if it's unbranded cheapo RAM, it may not be of very good quality.
Your system can take upto 4GB of RAM.
Providing you remember to set the memory timing to DDR 166 to start with you shouldn't have any problems. I currently have mine at 166 + 16 so essentially I hav an FSB of 182.
The extra GB makes a massive difference to how smooth games run etc but it doesn't give a frame rate boost, nor does the slightly lower FSB lower it.

A lower FSB can't NOT make a difference. I think you'd find that 1 GB running at 250 MHz, with a 10 or 10.5 multiplier will outperform what you are currently running. Even in single channel that would be better, dual channel better yet. But, if you aren't going to try that, at least tighten the RAM timings. With your RAM you should be on something like 2,2,2,5.
